New business law to lift foreign investors' share caps
04/Mar/2005 Thanh NienThe new draft Unified Business Law will remove the restriction in the volume of shares that foreign investors are allowed to hold in a Vietnamese joint-stock company, a legislator said March 4.
The new law will be applicable for four types of businesses, including liability limited companies, joint stocks, private enterprises and partnerships, he said.
5m euro for intellectual property protection
06/Mar/2005 Vietnamnet | VNAThe European Commission (EC)-Asean Intellectual Property Rights Cooperation Programme (ECAP II) in Vietnam was officially inaugurated in Hanoi on March 4. ECAP II focuses on completing the intellectual property legal framework aiming at broadening foreign investment and trade.
Vietnam will become the biggest recipient of ECAP II with the pledged sum of euro 1.5 million for more than 50 intellectual property operations in the country.
